Our Flanders style red base beer aged in oak barrels for two years. Unblended, this beer exhibits a smooth, moderately sour profile. This beer was refermented on boysenberries resulting in a beautiful red/purple color. A light purple head with a tart aroma of the red sour melds with sweet oak and berry notes. The moderate sour flavors blend with tart berry notes and subtle oak, sherry, and vanilla notes from the extended oak aging, leading to a smooth round finish. Translation: Moderately sour, mild fruit/berry, smooth oak/malt.
